Yet another Instagram-famous gadget claiming to “transform your shower,” give you glowing skin, soft hair, fix your water pressure, clean your water, and probably make coffee while it’s at it.

We’ve all seen it before. And it’s usually just marketing.

But this one felt... different.

For one, the product wasn’t from a giant brand or some drop-shipped factory knockoff. It was created by two brothers from El Rio, California, who had no marketing team—just a garage, engineering backgrounds, and a serious grudge against America’s outdated shower setups.

- They claimed they had solved a 60-year-old problem.
- They said their design was “built specifically for American homes.”
- They said it didn’t need tools. Or extra parts. Or ugly attachments.

So we dug deeper. And honestly? What we found shocked us.

From Struggling Students to National-Level Engineers

Despite learning disabilities that made school hard—especially reading—both brothers made it to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where they studied mechanical engineering and water systems.

They beat the odds and landed jobs at Kohler, one of America’s most respected names in plumbing and water technology.

But they didn’t just build bathroom products.

For over a decade, Ben and Vick worked on some of the company’s highest-level water flow and filtration projects—including a federally funded initiative to evaluate water standards and plumbing compatibility across all 50 U.S. states.

America doesn’t have a water problem. It has 50 different ones.

Some regions suffer from heavy metals, others from high chlorine. Some homes have extremely low pressure, while others experience frequent surges. There was no single product that solved all of it.

But Ben and Vick had access to nationwide infrastructure data, internal testing labs, and the most advanced filtration tech in the industry. They earned innovation award nominations, co-authored patents, and quietly became two of the company’s most trusted problem-solvers.
